How does LimeLight IPL work?

Limelight (a specific brand of IPL) use broad-spectrum light to target chromophores (pigment) in the skin. This light heats the targeted areas, causing damage to unwanted pigmentation like sunspots and broken capillaries. The body then naturally removes these damaged cells, revealing clearer, more even-toned skin.

What does the procedure feel like?

During the procedure, you might feel a snapping sensation or a warm prickling on the skin. Most clinics use a cooling gel to minimize discomfort. The feeling is generally tolerable, but some patients might require a topical anesthetic.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments needed depends on your desired results and the severity of your concerns. Typically, multiple sessions (1-3) spaced several weeks apart are recommended for optimal results.

What are the possible side effects?

Immediately following treatment, brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. The treated area may be mildly swollen. This typically lasts a few hours and possibly a day or longer. Make-up can be applied to cover the redness
