What Are Chin Dissolving Injections?
Chin dissolving injections use deoxycholic acid — a substance naturally found in the body that helps break down dietary fat — to target and permanently destroy fat cells beneath the chin. Once those cells are destroyed, they do not return.
Unlike surgery, there is no incision, no general anaesthetic, and no extended downtime. The treatment works gradually: as the body processes the destroyed cells over the weeks following each session, the chin area becomes progressively more defined and sculpted.

Who Is This Treatment For?
This treatment is best suited for adults who are at or near their target weight but have localized submental fat that doesn't respond to diet or exercise. It is not a treatment for large-volume fat reduction.

How It Works
Our Process
A consultation with Nurse Brenda is required before treatment. She will assess the area, discuss your goals, and confirm whether chin dissolving injections are appropriate for your anatomy and concerns.
The treatment itself involves a series of small injections into the submental fat using a fine needle. The entire appointment takes 45 minutes. Topical anaesthetic is applied beforehand to minimize discomfort. For optimal results, a series of three appointments spaced six weeks apart is recommended — each session builds on the last as the body gradually processes the destroyed fat cells.
After Your Visit
Results & Aftercare
Swelling, redness, and tenderness at the injection site are common after treatment and typically resolve within a few days to a week. Some temporary numbness in the treated area may also occur. It is normal for the chin area to appear slightly fuller initially due to swelling — this subsides as the body processes the destroyed fat cells.
Most clients begin to notice visible improvement within 4–6 weeks following their first or second session, with results continuing to develop with each subsequent treatment. Intense physical activity should be avoided for 48 hours post-treatment.
The results are permanent — fat cells that are destroyed do not return. Maintaining a stable weight supports and preserves the outcome over time.
