Most areas require 8-10 treatments for optimal permanent reduction. Hair grows in cycles — the laser targets follicles in the active growth phase, so multiple sessions are needed to catch all follicles as they cycle through. The number of sessions varies by area, hair thickness, and individual response. We’ll give you a realistic expectation at your consultation.
The CoolGlide handpiece cools and soothes the skin as it glides. When the laser pulse fires, most clients experience a brief warm or snapping sensation. Most areas are very tolerable without any anaesthetic. For more sensitive areas, a topical numbing cream can be arranged in advance.
Shave the treatment area as close to your appointment as possible — do not wax, thread, or epilate for at least 4 weeks prior, as the laser needs the hair follicle to be intact. Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including spray tan) for 2 weeks before treatment. Come with clean skin — no lotions, deodorant, or perfume on the treatment area.
