About the Treatment
What Is a PRP Facial?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is derived from your own blood. A small sample is drawn and processed to concentrate the platelets — components naturally rich in growth factors that support tissue repair and cellular renewal.
That concentrated serum is then applied to the skin in combination with microneedling — a minimally invasive technique that creates micro-channels in the skin, promoting optimal absorption and stimulating your skin's natural regeneration process.
Because PRP is derived from your own biology, the risk of allergic reaction is minimized. The result is a treatment that works with your body rather than adding a foreign substance to it.
Where It Works
Treatment Areas
PRP can be applied to the full face and neck, or focused on specific areas of concern.
Full Face & Neck
Comprehensive rejuvenation across the full face and neck for overall improvement in tone, texture, and skin quality.
Targeted Areas
Treatment can be customized to address specific concerns in smaller, defined areas. Pricing may vary.
Hair Loss & Thinning
PRP can also be applied to the scalp to address hair thinning. Additional sessions are typically recommended for this application.
The Benefits
What Can PRP Improve?
- Scars and stretch marks: Supports the appearance of smoother skin texture in areas affected by scarring or stretch marks.
- Fine lines: Helps reduce the visible appearance of fine lines through stimulation of natural cellular renewal.
- Sun damage and age spots: Can help diminish the visibility of pigmentation changes associated with sun exposure and aging.
- Skin texture and tone: Supports overall improvement in skin quality, radiance, and evenness.
- Hair thinning: When applied to the scalp, PRP may support hair health. A minimum of six treatments per year is typically recommended for this application.
How It Works
Our Process
A consultation with Nurse Brenda is the starting point for every PRP treatment. She will assess your skin, discuss your goals, and confirm whether PRP is appropriate for your concerns before any treatment proceeds.
During treatment, a small blood sample is drawn and processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma. The serum is then applied to the treatment area using microneedling — a minimally invasive technique that creates micro-channels in the skin, promoting optimal absorption and stimulating natural cellular renewal. Topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to minimize discomfort.
Treatment Schedule
How Often Will I Need Treatment?
For optimal results addressing scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and overall skin appearance, a minimum of three treatments per year is typically recommended. For hair loss or thinning, a minimum of six treatments per year is recommended.
Brenda will build a treatment schedule tailored to your individual goals and how your skin responds during your consultation.
After Your Visit
Results & Aftercare
You may experience some redness and swelling for a few days following treatment — this is a normal response. Results vary by individual, but improvement in skin quality may begin to be visible within a few weeks, with continued benefits over time as cellular renewal progresses.
Your face may appear red and feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. Nurse Brenda will provide detailed aftercare instructions to optimize healing and results.
Individual results may vary. A consultation is recommended before treatment.
Your Care Team
Safety & Expertise
At Foxy Face Studio, all PRP treatments are performed exclusively by Brenda Orazietti, RN, BScN, MEd, MScN. Because PRP involves a blood draw and minimally invasive skin technique, it is nurse-administered only. Your medical history will be reviewed and suitability confirmed before any treatment proceeds.
Please note that individual results may vary. A consultation is recommended before treatment.
